Adding a BombBomb Video to your Email

How to add a BombBomb video to a marketing email using the BombBomb Video content block.

  1. Open up BombBomb in a separate tab in your browser and sign in to your account.

  2. Click the "Content" tab on the right, and expand the Media content category.

  3. Drag and drop a "BombBomb Video" content block into your piece where you want it to display.

  4. Click the "Add BombBomb Video" button in the new content block. This will bring up the BombBomb interface.

  5. You can click the "Video" button on the left to access your library of pre-recorded BombBomb videos or use the "Record" interface in your browser to record a new video.

  6. Click Insert to add the video.

When you've selected a video, we will grab the GIF thumbnail of the video, complete with a play button overlay, and add it to the email.

This uses a preview thumbnail to point anyone who clicks to the video on the BombBomb site. The video itself won't play aside from the GIF loop in the thumbnail. We do not recommend attempting to directly embed a video to play in an email, as there can be associated issues (receiving email clients may not display the video, or may block the email entirely).
